OUR STORY
01
I have always been an ordinary watch enthusiast, drawn to the character and detail of the objects we choose to wear every day. But I found myself searching for something different—something that carried meaning beyond its design or the name on its dial.
I wanted the watch on my wrist to feel connected to a place, a material and a story. That desire became HOQBA: a contemporary watch house inspired by the landscapes, heritage and materials that have shaped us.
Founder, HOQBA

02
HOQBA means an era—a period remembered not only by the passage of time, but by what it leaves behind.
The name reflects our belief that a watch should be more than an instrument for measuring time. It should carry a trace of where it came from.

The First Theme began with four materials that carry recognisable memories of this region. Each became a different way of expressing time.

HOQBA is not the continuation of an inherited watchmaking dynasty. It is the beginning of something new—created by an enthusiast, for those who want what sits on their wrist to mean something.
